Soul Candi started up as a record store owned by Dj Mbuso and Harael Salkow, then extended into a record label, Dj Mbuso who mixed Soul Candi Session 1 and 2 series who pulled out of Soul Candi leaving having Harael Salkow purch ase Mbuso's shares in the company. Soul Candi is best known for its record label, which boasts some of the hottest DJs and producers in the country. They have been nominated for a multitude of awards, both Metro FM and South African Music Awards, including the coveted Song of The Year in 2009. To date they’ve won 3 Multi-Platinum Awards (sales in excess of 75,000 units), 5 Platinum Awards (sales in excess of 25,000 units), 23 Gold Awards (sales in excess of 50,000 units).www.linkedin.com
That was just a brief history and about Soul Candi the record company now it has expanded with having The Soul Candi Institute of Music essentially, the school offers three different types of courses: DJ courses, Production courses and Music Business courses. The DJ courses teach all the technicalities of playing using vinyl or CDs while the production courses integrate production and music theory on both beginner and advanced level. With all that going this company has achieved is how they always leading and being on top in this hard industry is always being up to date with media and social media they have varies ways to always be on the peoples mouth Soul Candi is a regular household name of music known for releasing hits after hits.
