So please support your local artists and international artists proudly buy buying originals so they can keep bringing you the music you want piracy only increases black market wealth and decreases artists creativity to work knowing no income is going to come.It discourages investment in South Africa if a company's intellectual property rights are not protected; The artists receive no reward for their creativity and are not able to make a living.
Would you like to put in hard work and have it stolen just to be sold to the next guy for cheaper and you are given no credit so dont Support Piracy!
LOCAL IS LEKKER
i can only say one thing and that is too late to try and fix this problem becouse these are the implications of globalization in a technological aspect and this is mainly caused by the fact that a whole lot of people have access to destop computers and writters that are the contributers of this problem but overall people should keep it original.
ReplyDeleteYeah man... The problem's very clear and it's something that can be very difficult to eliminate, especially with technology advancements, easier access to internet etc.
ReplyDeleteI was actually speaking to some of my peers and they say the main problem is prices... like album prices. So If prices were like under R100 it would be more accessible. Yeah might sound cheap but that's the consumer's voice u dig.
But yeah original's the way
piracy has gone way out of hand to be fixed now. Even though you do not buy pirate copies you can still make them in the comfort of your own home.
ReplyDeletei agree with both vincent and chellas it is late now to fix the problem people don't like waisting money on the original copy of any CD and down town jozi loves selling fake discs and worst thing is the police come there but then when the police leave, those people who sell those piracy dvd's and cd's continue with they fraud business...
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late replys I was replying with my phone and the replys were not going through apologies for the inconvneince.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you guys to a certain extent.
@Vincent its never to late to fix with the correct stragety and backing by government it can be done its a long process but yes it can be accomplished.
@Billz the prices are always set to accomodate the cds are usualy R100 with our local artist and the ones that tend to be expensive are like the Soulcandi session10 was a R160 and it was Five Cds so more is payed and still pretty reasonable, As for international artists its little more for ot has to be imported here so thats why they a little more expensive.
@Sibusiso and Chellas Yes piracy has gone out of hand and yes you can make copies in of your own home, But all crime can be done in the comfort of your home and Sibusiso you say people dont like wasting money on orignal copies, its not a waste if they like the artist either get the original copy or dont buy it at all since they music is not worthy, And the cops arent really inforcing enough law and some cops actaully do they work and confesicate and arrest those vendors. Piracy can be stopped with initiative and backing it can be a stopped it will be a long process but its possible.
